Dear Kat,
Now that spring is in the air, it’s time to do a little cleaning. Physical cleaning is just as important as mental cleaning. How long has it been since you cleaned out your closet? Maybe your garage? Or maybe your office? Most of us stuff our closets, homes, and offices with so much stuff that we’ve collected over our lifetimes. We add thing after thing, looking for a place that it belongs, but we never subtract stuff.
Our living spaces can be a reflection of our minds. A cluttered home or office could equal a cluttered mind. In order to make room for the new, we must release the old and outworn, whether it’s new thoughts or ideas or new clothes or items. When we tidy up our home or office we allow a flow of creativity and peace. There is room for more growth in your life.
We can manifest our desires in life when we clean out our closets. Clean out the cobwebs of your mind and let go of the clutter in your life. Go through your stuff. Have you worn or used that item in the last 6 months or year? Does it represent the person you are or who you truly want to be? Simply let it go. Have a yard sale or donate your old stuff.
A regular spring cleaning of the mind and home enables us to lead a happier and more fulfilling life. We create space both physically and mentally for the new. We are able to see who we want to be and what we want in life more clearly. As you clean out your closet, home or office say to yourself: I am cleaning out the closets of my mind. Ask yourself questions about the items you’re getting rid of. Is this item still useful? Am I afraid I won’t be able to replace it?
Pay attention to your feelings as you clean out your home. Are you excited about allowing space in your life? Or are you stuck in the belief of not having enough? Allow yourself to feel whatever it is. Hold on to that feeling and let it sink in. If it’s negative, accept it and let it go. This new space you’ve created in your life will allow for new and improved forms of abundance. It’s taking a step into the ethers of the Universe and allowing for your life to move forward.
Let’s Affirm: "Our spiritual growth often times comes to us in ways that we don’t quite expect."
Love,
